Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

4.5 Units

Course Description

The Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate program follows the structured "DMAIC" methodology to introduce proven process improvement principles, tools, and techniques designed to optimize operations within your organization. DMAIC is an acronym for the five phases of the Six Sigma methodology: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. This data-driven approach relies on established statistical process control techniques, data analysis, planning, and experimental design methods to eliminate defects, waste, and quality problems in manufacturing, service delivery, management, and other business activities.

Students learn the exact tools and techniques required to successfully launch a project, transition it from phase to phase, and ultimately evaluate its success. In addition, participants develop vital team leadership skills and gain a comprehensive understanding of the DMAIC model in accordance with Six Sigma principles. The certificate program strictly follows the ASQ "Body of Knowledge" for the Six Sigma Black Belt.
